Well ha ther sugah ha ther.
For all you lost souls out there who may be asking "Who the bloody hell
is Tony Slattery ?" let me take a moment to enlighten you.
Tony is a fab British actor and comedian. Of course, he was all over
the telly for a very long time in the UK. If you live in the UK and
are asking who Tony Slattery is, what the bloody hell is your prob and
what rock have you been living under? How can you live in the UK
and not see him? His beautiful face was all over the telly.
The 1990's must have totally passed you by sugah, but don't worry, you
can catch up. For instance, did you realise John Major isn't PM anymore?
Tony has been in movies such
as Carry on Columbus, 'The Crying Game', 'Peter's Friends', 'Heaven's a
Drag' ('To Die For' in the UK), 'How to Get Ahead in Advertising', 'Up
N Under' and is currently working on a movie called 'The Wedding Tackle',
apparently. He's also back performing improv with the Comedy Store
Players and is back on telly in 'Just A Minute', and making guest appearances
on other shows, such as 'The Heaven & Earth Show', 'On the Ropes with
John Humphrys', 'Language Learning from the BBC 75th Anniversary:
A Celebration' and 'Ruby Wax', (where he apparently admitted to being an
agnostic humanist who doesn't believe in the metaphysical if it can't be
proven empirically! woo hoo!).
As well, he's done loads
on the telly. In the U.S., he's probably best known for 'Whose Line
Is It Anyway?' Tony has had many regular shows himself, such as 'Going
for a Song', 'Tibs and Fibs', 'Just a Minute', 'Just a Gigolo', 'Trivial
Pursuit', 'S & M', 'This Is David Harper', 'That's Love', and 'Saturday
Stayback.'
In addition to these, he
has made appearances on 'Red Dwarf', 'Ruby', 'Room 101', 'Have I Got News
for You', 'Black Tie Affair', 'The Full Wax', 'Murder Most Horrid', 'Boon'
and 'The Lenny Henry Show'. He's also been on radio programmes
such as 'Just a Minute', 'The Monkhouse Archives' and 'Redeeming
Brian'. We can't forget his theatre experience either, such as 'Me
and My Girl', 'Neville's Island', 'Privates on Parade' and 'Radio Times.'
Pretty fab eh?
Of course, he's done so much
more and I haven't even began to cover but mah hands are getting tired
sugah...
Tony was at Cambridge, where
he majored in Medieval and Modern Languages. Whilst there he was
a member of Footlights, along with Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Emma Thompson,
and was even President of Footlights for a while. I thought
it important to put that up because Tony is often thought of as some chirpy
little entertainer with no substance or depth. Personally, I think
we have only begun to see what he is capable of . Now that you know
sugah, I don't want any damn e-mails telling me what a happy go lucky
or stupid person he is, lest I think you a complete
wanker.
You can go to the Articles
page for some fab articles about Tony Slattery that I haven't seen on some
other websites. Likewise, you can go to the Links
page to see what others are saying about Tony Slattery. Of course,
there is always the Tony Slattery Pictures
page sugah. This webpage, like Tony's sexual orientation, is always a work
in progress...
Wanna join The
Tony Slattery Web Ring? Of course you do sugah! Everyone knows he's
brilliant. Go to the Join
page to learn how sugahhhhhh....If you're already a member, go here
if you are already a member and are having trouble with your html fragment.
